After the successful CE process of the Electroporation system IQwave™ 3.0 CE and the establishment of collaboration with the state AIIMS hospital in Jodhpur India, we are ready to increase the pace both clinically and commercially.
A new strategy is now in place where we establish two separate market strategies for the TSE treatment, one for superficial tumours and one for the development project of deep-seated tumours. In connection with this, the D-EEPC program for pain treatment for tumours in the spine and bone, D-EEPC, is also merged with TSE for deep-seated tumours. The Medical Affairs and the R&D teams also plan to develop TSE-based procedures for deep-seated tumours using minimally invasive and high-tech approaches including Robotic-assisted procedures.
IQwave™ 3.0 CE which was primarily developed for superficial tumours will for superficial tumours continue to have Asia, the Middle East and Africa as its main markets. In these markets, the need for new technology is significantly greater than in Europe, and market establishment can proceed faster.
In order to establish TSE™ in Europe and North America, we will concentrate operations on collaborations with hospitals and institutes already having funding for studies on cancer indications for deep-seated tumours in sensitive areas, such as bone- and pancreatic cancer. We believe that this is where TSE’s special and gentler properties can create the greatest interest. As a result, we believe that there is a need for establishing two medical clinical areas for humans with immense potential.
